Job Summary:

Design, develop, install, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment for oil and gas facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operation, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

– Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, valves, pipelines)
– Select and specify mechanical equipment and materials
– Develop and review mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications
– Install, test, and commission mechanical systems and equipment
– Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues and failures
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., electrical, instrumentation, operations)
– Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, OSHA)
– Develop and maintain documentation and records (e.g., drawings, manuals, maintenance records)

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
– Professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent
– Minimum 5 years of experience in oil and gas mechanical engineering or related field
– Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and industry standards
– Experience with mechanical design software (e.g., Autodesk, SolidWorks)
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Effective communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

– Advanced degree or certification in mechanical engineering or related field
– Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
– Familiarity with industry-specific software (e.g., SAP, Maximo)
– Experience leading mechanical projects or teams
– Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and safety protocols
