Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic and Tendering Business Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic planning, market analysis, and tendering activities. This role requires a strong understanding of the energy industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Identify and evaluate potential projects and partnerships that align with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Lead the tendering process, including preparing and submitting proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing bid evaluations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive pricing strategies and ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, industry partners, and government agencies to enhance business opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development activities, pipeline, and performance metrics.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in strategic business development and tendering within the energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the energy sector, including renewable energy, oil and gas, and power generation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate business opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and winning tenders and contracts.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other business development tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
